Driving Directions
From eastern Canada and points north: I-91 south to Exit 9 (Hartland/Windsor). Take a left onto Route 5 south and travel approx. 4 miles into Windsor. Proceed 1/3 of a mile past the traffic light; the Cornish Colony Museum will be on your left, in the old Firehouse, across from the Old South Church.
Windsor is one hour from St. Johnsbury VT.
From Montreal, Burlington and points northwest: I-89 south to I-91 south. Follow I-91 to Exit 9 (Hartland/Windsor). Take a left onto Route 5 south and travel approx. 4 miles into Windsor. Proceed 1/3 of a mile past the traffic light; the Cornish Colony Museum will be on your left, in the old Firehouse, across from the Old South Church.
Windsor is an hour and a half from Burlington, one hour from Montpelier, and two and a half hours from Plattsburgh NY.
From Hartford CT and points south: I-91 north to Vermont Exit 8 (Ascutney/Windsor). Take a right onto Route 131; after 1/2 mile, left onto Route 5 north. Proceed 5 miles into Windsor. The Museum will be on your right 1/4 mile past the traffic light, in the old Firehouse across from the Old South Church.
Windsor is two hours from Hartford CT and an hour and a half from Springfield MA.
From Boston and points south-east: I-93 north to Concord; then take I-89 north toward Lebanon NH. Merge onto I-91 south toward Brattleboro. Follow the directions above.
Windsor is just over two hours from Boston and an hour and a half from Manchester NH.
Public Transportation
Windsor is on the Amtrak Vermonter line, which runs from Washington DC to St. Albans VT. The Cornish Colony Museum is a five minute walk from the Windsor train station.
